These two programs address very fundamental social justice
issues - the treatment of women and children.
While we, as humans but particularly in industrial societies
with grossly disproportionate effect on the rest of the world, like to

UNICEF’s mission is to advocate for the protection
of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand
their opportunities to reach their full potential. UNICEF is guided in
doing this by the provisions and principles of the Convention on the
Rights of the Child.
Vanessa Redgrave, widely respected and often revered
actress, activist and humanitarian, is an official Goodwill Ambassador
for UNICEF. Her commitment to serving children worldwide led to
this collaboration with her son, London filmmaker, Carlo Nero.
This documentary chronicles the 60 year struggle - and victories - of
UNICEF to make the world safe for the most vulnerable among us - the
children.
