w/ Jim Moore
& John Nelson
The Progressive Voter Alliance began about two years
ago following the 2004 election as Democrats
found themeslves, again, on the losing end of a questionable
presidential election.
Gathering a core group of Kerry volunteers and
attracting interest from citizens and activists with an urge to become
more involved in a range of issues, PVA not only organized monthly
meetings drawing large crowds, but instituted a method of conducting
these meetings which is short on talk, long on actions, and encourages
the broadest participation by community groups, organizers, and
activists. They are enjoying strong support and a string of
successes.
John Nelson is a cofounder of PVA and its web developer,
and Jim Moore is actively involved in their Legislative Response Team.
