WNMU Update
WNMU Regents meltdown
On 15 May 2008 the WNMU Board of Regents met and in an unfortunate but unsurprising fit of pique & confirmation of their inability to respond to citizens, staff or faculty, lashed out at Faculty Senate President Tom Gruska and other faculty members and members of the public.

Grant County
Property Maintenace Ordinance 07-04

A huge turnout at the "Citizen Task Force Meeting" on 19 Mars 2008 resulted in the hasty retreat of the County Commission on the Property Maintenance Ordinance.  Good Work, Citizens!

RFS! was present at the meeting and fortunately, brought along a camera to tape the sham proceeding which was advertised as a "Citizen Task Force Committee" meeting to give input on the ordinance.  Citizen input was the last thing they wanted apparently as they recognized defaeat, called for a show of hands, and quickly ended the meeting.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Bill Carliss for his determination and long hours in getting the word out and raising the alarm.  Therefore, I declare him the winner of the 1st Radio Free Silver

Paul Revere Award!

A victory for now, but watch the upcoming Radio Free Silver presentation to see the planning and players behind this dangerous proposal.  Though they declared the ordinance withdrawn and a moot point, believe me, like Arnold in "The Terminator"...

"They'll be back!"
